A Provider Network Dedicated to Improving Access to Behavioral Health

Welcome to the American Mental Health Network

The American Mental Health Network (AMHN) is a dedicated behavioral health network developed to offer members of insurance companies and third party administrators access to a national network of mental health and substance abuse providers.  AMHN allows members to maximize their new behavioral health plan benefits mandated by the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act.

FedMed initiated development of AMHN in November 2008.  Since that time, we have successfully executed AMHN contracts with over 34,000 behavioral health facilities and professionals in all 50 states.  Our network includes mental health hospitals, substance abuse centers, youth treatment facilities, psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed mental health providers, as well as licensed social workers.

AMHN is a division of FedMed, Inc.  FedMed was started in 2000 by a group of executives with over 50 years of healthcare experience.  Today, FedMed is a national medical provider network that offers insurance companies and third party administrators with access to approximately 3,000 hospitals, 60,000 ancillaries and 500,000 physicians.

With the passing of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, approximately 150 million Americans enrolled in employer-provided group health insurance plans now have access to significantly improved mental health and substance abuse benefits (for both in-network and out-of-network care) that are required to be provided at the same level as their medical care benefits.
